Trout Fishing


Spruce Creek is one of the top-ranked trout streams in the US and is full of wild brown and large rainbow trout.
Fishing is permitted all day, though permits are usually only available for purchase during the Visitor's Center opening hours (10am to 5pm).

Fishing is on a catch-and-release basis only with barbless hooks.


FISHING IS PERMITTED IN SPRUCE CREEK ON CAVE PROPERTY AND IS BY PERMIT ONLY.
PERMITS ARE AVAILABLE IN THE VISITOR'S CENTER AND THE FOLLOWING ROD FEES APPLY:

Hourly $10
Half day (any four hours) $25
Full day (dawn to dusk) $40
Seasonal Pass (through Feb 2012) $150

NOTE: We do not stock rods, reels, waders, fly lines, bait, tackle, or other fishing supplies.
